Prof. Tunji is currently the Deputy Secretary General, African Affairs & Special Representative to the African Union of the International Society of Diplomats (ISD). Prior to this, he was the Nigerian Representative at the 2nd & 3rd Permanent General Assembly of the African Union Economic, Social and Cultural Council (AU-ECOSOCC) and Chairperson Emeritus, Social Affairs & Health cluster committee. He is the Vice Chairman/CEO, African School of Diplomacy and International Relations, Fellow – International Institute of Management Consultant; and a full member of Institute of Public Diplomacy and Management. He was appointed as West African Regional Director of the International Peace and Governance Council (UN-IPGC) from 2018 to 2022.
Prof. Tunji was also appointed in May 2018 as a member of African Union Labour Migration Advisory Committee. In private sector profession, he is the Senior Consultant – Sheptas Global Resources Limited since 2010 till date, Director of International Relations & Economic Affairs – Ukraine Chambers of Friendship. Culture and Commerce between 2011 – 2013 and Secretary General of Pan African Chamber of Culture, Trade and Investment (PANACCTI).
He obtained Honour Certificate in SOCIAL JUSTICE from Harvard University in 2014. Advance Diploma in Political Economy from African School of Diplomacy and International Relations in 2018, Certificate in International Law from International Business Management Institute, Berlin, Germany in 2019. In February 2024, he was promoted to the rank of Professor of Politics and International Studies by the Oral Robert University, Oklahoma.
