ABOUT
The African School of Diplomacy and International Relations (ASDIR) presents the AFRICAN ACADEMIC ACHIEVERS’ AWARDS, an event designed to recognize and celebrate exceptional academic achievements of African scholars and institutions. The awards aim to inspire and motivate young minds to pursue excellence in education, foster a culture of academic achievement, and promote the intellectual growth of Africa. This new initiative aims to honour the legacy of trailblazers and visionaries in academics and recognize them for their outstanding achievements and contributions to the development of education across Africa in the spirit of the African Union theme of the year 2024; “Educate and Skill Africa for the 21st Century.”
ASDIR’s public lecture series, this years 2024 is tagged: HONOURARY DOCTORATE DEGREE AWARDS AT THE 4TH EDITION 2024 ANNUAL PUBLIC LECTURE SERIES AND INAUGURAL DINNER OF THE 1ST EDITION AFRICAN ACADEMIC ACHIEVERS’ AWARDS (A4-2024). The event is scheduled to hold on the 12th of December, 2024 at NICON Luxury, Hotel, Abuja, at 3pm prompt, with the theme; “Educational Renaissance: The Future of Work and Economy Evolutioin in Africa”.
In view of the above, this event will be used to inaugurate the Maiden (First) Edition of the “African Academic Achievers’ Awards 2024 (A4-2024)” and “African Academic Hall of Fame Project (AAHFP)” that lists African acidemias’ and institutions’ achievements in various categories.
This hilarious event, will house distinguished speakers, scholars, policymakers, and experts who will convene to share insights and engage in meaningful discussions on topics crucial to the continent’s educational and economical advancement.
African Academic Achievers’ Awards (A4) is this the only registered and authentic Pan African platform to showcase Africa’s intellectual capacity and collaboration among African academics globally. Thus, a prestigious and influential platform for recognizing academic excellence in Africa. The project aims to highlight exceptional Africans and African institutions who has achieved milestones in relevant areas of academics and honour them as models to inspire continuous academic progress that support development in Africa..
OBJECTIVES
A4-2024 is brought forward to:
– Recognize contributions of outstanding scholars, educators, researchers, and students who have made a lasting impact in their respective fields.
– Honor the legacy of trailblazers and visionaries in academia by showcasing their accomplishments, publications, innovations, and teachings for future generations to admire and learn from.
– Showcase Africa’s intellectual capacity, discourse and collaboration among African academics globally.
– Support the professional development of African academics through workshops, conferences, and mentorship programs.
– Use it as a prestigious and influential platform for recognizing academic excellence in Africa and establish A “Hall of Fame” that lists Africa’s best academia’s and institutions in various categories through public nominations and votes.
– Inspire current and future generations by creating a foundation of inspiration and motivation for students and academics by highlighting the remarkable journeys and successes of those inducted into the Academic Hall of Fame.
– Foster a sense of community and collaboration by bringing together past, present, and future academic leaders to create a supportive network that encourages knowledge-sharing, mentorship, and partnership across disciplines and generations.
– Encourage lifelong learning and professional development.
– Promote diversity and inclusivity to showcase the richness and breadth of talent in the academic world.
– Uphold high standards of academic excellence, set a benchmark for academic achievement and integrity by honoring individuals who exemplify the highest standards of scholarship, ethics, and innovation in their respective fields.
