In establishing ASDIR, we have drawn inspiration from the visionary contributions of past leaders within the African Union Commission, the African Union Economic, Social, and Cultural Council, the United World Congress of Diplomats, and other like-minded stakeholders. Our mission is to create a lasting legacy of excellence in diplomatic education and practice that meets the aspirations of our founders and fulfills the pressing needs of our time.

ASDIR is established to enhance the proficiency of diplomatic personnel across Africa and beyond, ultimately contributing to improved diplomacy, international relations, and security education on the continent. Our commitment aligns with the goals set forth in Agenda 2063, which advocates for an integrated, prosperous, and peaceful Africa, managed by its own citizens.

Located in Abuja, Nigeria's capital city, ASDIR is poised to serve as an international citadel of learning with affiliations across the globe.
